Welcome to Catherine's Realm, a space where art and nature intertwine. I'm Catherine A. Henry, an artist and gardener inspired by the beauty, detail, and complexity of the natural world. Creating a peaceful, nurturing sanctuary in my garden brings me immense joy.

Art has been a lifelong pursuit for me. During my adolescence, I studied privately, building a foundation in composition, perspective, drawing, and watercolor. I later attended the Atlanta School of Art and Georgia State University, where I explored drawing, ceramics, fiber weaving, and jewelry making. Through it all, drawing has remained my deepest passion.

Professionally, I spent many years working in art production, including paste-up, illustration, and typesetting.

Gardening is another passion I've cultivated over time. As a self-taught gardener, I gained hands-on experience working at a plant nursery for many years. I later became an Extension Master Gardener Volunteer in North Carolina. I enjoy learning about plants, growing them from seed, and spending time immersed in the garden. Over the years, I've built three greenhouses-two were lost to a winter storm and a hurricane, while one stood strong for more than 16 years before we relocated.
